Hi

I am Julie. I am a mother of 5 children and have 7 beautiful grandchildren.  Four of my children and my husband are dyslexic, two are also diagnosed ADHD.  I myself struggled through school math with dyscalculia.

I am a fully qualified and experienced New Zealand teacher with a passion for teaching students who have learning difficulties.  I have a B Ed in teaching, a Diploma of teaching Montessori and have worked in the Education profession for many years.

Watching my children struggle with reading and writing through their school years motivated me to leave full time classroom teaching to concentrate on finding a solution to my younger children’s and others learning problems.  I have since been privileged to work with many wonderful children and adults, watching them progress and grow in confidence.  To watch a student progress from “I can’t do that, I can’t read” to “I can, I can read!” is truly one of the most rewarding of jobs ever. I cannot imagine doing anything else.
